FAQs

How much are the shipping costs?
For shipments abroad, the system automatically calculates the shipping costs with log from a company residing abroad. Italian companies that want to ship abroad must request a quote. Click here for more information.

Why do I see prices without VAT?

Our shown prices are VAT excluded.
We've adopted this type of strategy because we are working with different types of VAT application (for ex: purchases for restructuring, condominium purchases, purchases from non-profit associations) and with different countries with very different VAT regimes.

My payment with Paypal did not go through. What have I do?
If you're still having problems with your card, please contact us.
The system connects to the paypal circuit only once. The payment is not replicable, but we can send you a payment request by email with the sum to be paid.

Do you sell spare parts?
Yes. We supply spare parts for electric motors, electric pumps, control panels, compressors, current generators etc.  Please, send us an email.  We will check the availability and we will send you a quotation.

What is the quietest water pump?
Usually multi-stage pumps are the quietest, they are followed by twin impeller pumps, single-impeller centrifugal pumps, jet-type pumps, and peripheral pumps.

How far can a surface pump lift water from a well?
The maximum lift-height of surface pumps is 7 meters; with the exception of some self-priming models that suck up to 9 meters. There are also special pumps with double piping that lift water up to 50 meters, but these are rarely used since the flow rate is low.

What should I you do if the water pressure at home is low?
You need a water system with pressure tank and pump, in order to increase the water pressure. Contact us.  Customer support is available free of charge.

I don't have enough space to fit a tank. What can I do?
You can install a small pump or an automatic self-priming pump directly on the pipe. Please write to us for any additional information you may require.

I have the tank on the terrace but gravity pressure is not enough. What do you recommend?
You can install a water system with tank, or, if you have at least two meters of altitude, you can install an automatic mini-pump at home.

I would like to install a pump directly on the water pipe. Is it feasible?
Yes. You can install a small pump or an automatic self-priming pump directly on the pipe. There are automatic pumps ready for use to fully perform this function.

What is the difference between a self-priming electric pump and a "normal" electric pump?
The self-priming pump sucks up the liquid even in the presence of air in the pipeline. 'Cause a self-priming pump can evacuate air from the suction line, thereby drawing liquid into the pump. A normal pump cannot do this; it idles in the presence of air in the pipes.

I need an electric pump for irrigation. How should I proceed?
To be able to size the pump to your needs, you should know:
1)  If you need a submersible pump or a surface pump
2) The diameter of the assigned main irrigation pipe;
3) The maximum height (quote) between the pump and the farthest point;
4) The maximum length of the pipe, between the pump and the farthest point;
5) The flow rate needed for the sprinklers (also check the pressure required for each sprinkler);

I would like to buy a water pump to lift water from a well. What is needed?
To be able to size the product suited to your needs, you have to know:
1)  If you need a submersible pump or a surface pump
2) The diameter of the assigned main irrigation pipe
3) The maximum height (quote) between the pump and the farthest point;
4) The maximum length of the pipe, between the pump and the farthest point
5) The pump use. For ex: tank filling, water boosting, irrigation, manual use (ON-OFF)

I would like to fill a tank automatically. What should I do?
A tank can be automatically filled in different ways: the most common way is to use an electrical control panel and an electric float switch that rules the pump starting and stopping.

I want that my pump starts when I'll open the tap, and stops when I'll close it. Are there any solutions?
Yes. It is necessary to equip the system with a variable frequency drive (or other device).
To help you we need to know:
1) The pump model
2) The height of the pipe above the electric pump
3) The diameter of the pipe
4) The use for which the pump is intended

I would like to buy an electric pump to get water from a tank. What data do you need?
1)  If you need a submersible pump or a surface pump
2) The diameter of the assigned main irrigation pipe;
3) The maximum height (quote) between the pump and the farthest point;
4) The maximum length of the pipe, between the pump and the farthest point;
5) The pump use. For ex: tank filling, water boosting, irrigation, manual use (ON-OFF).

I would like to buy a current generator to operate my electric pump. What should I pay attention to?
1) The voltage (single-phase or three-phase) supplied by the generator, which must be the same as that required by the pump.
2) The power of the generator which must be from 2.5 times to 3 times greater than that of the pump motor.

I would like to buy a generator that operates independently when the power goes out. It's possible?
Certainly it is possible that a generator starts automatically through a special exchange unit between the electric network and the generator;

I have a single-three-phase 6 kW generator, can I operate a single-phase 2Hp pump?
No, because the single-phase power (to supply a single user) that can give a three-phase generator is 1/3 of the maximum nominal power.
In this specific case:
 6 kW: 3 = 2 kW
To be able to activate an electric pump, a generator must develop a max power of 2.5 to 3 times greater than the pump motor.
In this case, a single-phase 6kW generator must be used.

Can a 3kW Enel electricity meter operate a 2.9kW electric pump or motor?
Yes, since the energy supplier allows for a electricity peak for a limited time, but it is better to keep in mind any inaccuracies of the meters and apply a smaller loads (for example up to 80% of the power).

I have a photovoltaic system, I would like to power an electric pump or an electric motor. What should I do?
You have to apply the same rules as for the use of a current generator.ù

Can I buy complete water pump systems?
Yes, we sell complete kits. You can select the proposed list, or modify the quantity according to your specific needs.

I would like to order an electric motor. What should I pay attention to?
1) Supply voltage;
2) Rpm;
3) Design;
4) Required power

I would like to improve the quality water in my home. How can I do?
Usually to improve the water, it is necessary to correct the hardness (limestone), and the bacterial load. For a good treatment, you need to know the type of water and its mineral and bacteriological charges. In this way, you can solve problems quickly and effectively.

What size water softener do I need for my family?
For a standard family (4people) , it would be fine a water softener of 10 to 18 liters;
With the exception of cases in which limestone it's above 80 °C . In these cases appropriate size must be carefully evaluated.

Do magnetic water softeners really work?
Yes, magnetic softeners work great. This water treatment system claims to reduce water's hardness by passing it through a magnetic field. Their function is to solubilize the limestone to avoid depositing on the pipes. However, their action ceases quickly in aerobic environments, or at temperatures above 70 °C. Moreover their action can cease during the stagnation in the pipes for a variable period.

Can I install many filters in my system to better purify the water?
No. Do not mount more than two filters if a UV lamp or disinfectant is not present in the system. Because in the mesh of filters bacteria tend to proliferate. It is also advisable to carry out frequent cleaning accompanied by a plant sanitization process.

I have problems with the pump and the pipes due to the iron-bacteria. What is the right remedy?
Iron is the third most common element making up the Earth. The excess of iron contained in the water generates many problems, including brown-reddish spots in the clothes after washing,  and the absence of flavors in drinks. But a far more serious problem is caused by the presence of ferrobacteria, as their proliferation completely obstructs the pipes and the devices connected to them. Iron bacteria feed on carbon and other organic substances, they also proliferate with stagnant water.
The right remedy is the use of chlorine in addition to a continuous water movement.
