Magnetic anti-limescale - Magnetic water softner

Ionization of water

Ionization is the process by which the atoms that make up the matter lose or acquire electric charge. During the ionization, the water is forced to pass through a strong magnetic field*, in which is provoked a molecular dissociation of the "hard salts" (calcium and magnesium ions)These "hard salts" are transformed into talcum powder called "Aragonite", which remains in suspension, avoiding the formation of limestone.

*The magnetic effect is produced with permanent magnets that are resistant to high temperatures and aggressive waters.

The hardness of the water is due to the existence of some salts, like calcium and magnesium. These ions are the cause of solid formations that cause obstructions in pipes or in the water systems.

Magnetic water softner VS normal water softner

Magnetic anti-limescale is a proven technology. Through a magnetic field, the calcium is transformed into aragonite so it becomes less encrusting. But this product must not be confused with the water softener: with the magnet the water hardness does not change, while the softener exchanges calcium with sodium.
The magnet has the purpose of preserving the faucets, the appliances (such as the washing machine, the dishwasher, the boiler, etc) and the pipes, but it cleans them slowly and only under certain conditions. Calcium continues to be there. But the white halos on the glasses that are washed in the dishwasher will disappear, and the boiler will not be encrusted.

A: Water system
B: Bicarbonates present in the water

C: Inert crystals of aragonite

Advice for installation

  • Choose the anti-scale filter based on the water flow rate of the system and on the diameter of the pipes to which it will be coupled. Example: 1" diameter pipe = antiscale with 1" M/M (single-phase/single-phase) diameter connection.

  • In domestic installations, it will be appropriate to apply an anti-scale able to treat all the water that can be used.

  • It is recommended, especially in industrial plants, the application of the antiscale in by-pass. This application allows, if necessary, to intervene on the antiscale to avoid the interruption of the flow water.

  • Especially in applications on existing and long-running systems, it is possible that a cleaning action of the system may occur.

  • This cleaning circulates particles in the system, which it will be necessary to remove by means of special filters (a problem that can be detected especially in closed circuit systems).

  • After installing the magnetic anti-limescale filter there will be no maintenance costs (typical of reverse osmosis systems and water softeners).
