Why should you add the expansion vassel to the frequency inverter drive system?
The basic plant does not require the use of a compensation tank/vassel. But if you want to maximize the energy consumption and the duration of the electric pump, it's necessary to add a tank. In fact, by using a water tank, the continuous and repeated starts of the electric pump (due to small withdrawals and/or water leaks in the water system) are avoided; Decreasing the start/stop of the electric pump:
1) Decreases energy consumption;
2) Extends the life of the electric pump.

NETTUNO VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE FOR THREE-PHASE PUMPS
Nettuno VFD can be installed on the wall or on the delivery manifold of the boosting set. Thanks to inverter-based technology, it can modulate the frequency (Hz) of the motor's input current to adjust the speed (rpm) according to the water demand by the system.The NETTUNO Variable frequency inverter drive is designed for the management of more drives to a booster set up to 8 pumps.

Electric pumps complementary to the product
Nettuno is a 3x400 three-phase/three-phase (TT) VFD, therefore it can only be combined with 3x400 three-phase surface or submersible pumps.

Hydraulic connection
The 4-20mA pressure sensor must be connected to the system delivery.
It is also necessary to add to the plant an expansion tank with a capacity of 2-5L liters.
Electrical connection
The inverter power supply is three-phase 400Vac 50 / 60Hz. The power supply cables and the motor cables must be placed inside the connection box.
For lengths from 2 to 30 meters, the recommended cable section is 2.5 mm². For lengths exceeding 30 meters it is advisable to install a dV / dT filter to limit voltage peaks and to protect the life of the motor.
The Nettuno VFD has different auxiliary Input-Output connections.
Twin set/pump connection
