D Elbi Expansion vessels
Multifunctional vassels designed to be fitted both into sanitary systems as expansion tanks, as well as pressure tanks for cold water sanitary systems. They are equipped with the exclusive Top-Pro® anticorrosive treatment which ensures corrosion protection of the tank wall. The brass air valve (that are closed by a threaded cap) prevents any loss of pressure. The patented and hexagonal inlet fitting is made of stainless steel. The installation of a D tank model reduces the operating costs of the system.

Do I really need a pressure tank?
A pressure tank is important because it keeps water pressure at a constant level. It also keeps the water and air separated. Without these features the water pump would turn on and off quickly and the motor can quickly burn out.
An air charge in the tank delivers water pressure out of the tank and into the hose to avoid water pump rapid on-off cycling or "short cycling" that damages the system.
With the use of a pressure tank, the pump starting times are reduced and the water hammers are absorbed by the tank.
