How to choose a presscontrol?
According to physics:
Each vertical meter of water column is equivalent to 0.1Bar, (and therefore 10 meters water column are equivalent to 1Bar)
You must know that:
1) The point of use is equivalent to the difference in height (the vertical height) between the pump and the taps to supply.
2) The max pump pressure is measured with OFF taps.
3) The work pressure of the pump is measured with ON taps.
4) The restart pump pressure is reached when the electric pump turns ON.
5) A domestic taps consumes 12 L/min ca.
The wc plastic tank needs 5 L/min ca. to be filled.
A standart WC flow-meter recive 65 L/min ca.
In order to combine a presscontrol with an electric pump, three conditions must be met.
Following are the flow rates of the presscontrol, without excessive loss of load:
Pressure of restart of the presscontrol = 0,5Bar + Value in bar of pressurized water on the electric pump.
Example of a serviceable plant (30 meters high water system)
In the following diagram an example of the hypothetical pressures of a water system
Example of an un-serviceable plant (30 meters high water system)
In the following diagram an example of the hypothetical pressures of an unusable water system
The using point of this system is 30 meters = 3Bar. Therefore, while keeping the tap open, and even using an adequate pressure electric pump, the presscontrol (set to 1.5Bar) does not have sufficient sensitivity to read the pressure variation and turnON the pump.
Example of a serviceable plant (16 meters high water system)
In the following diagram an example of the hypothetical pressures of a water system
Example of an un-serviceable plant (16 meters high water system)
In the following diagram an example of the hypothetical pressures of an unusable water system
The using point of this system is 16 meters = 1,6 Bar. Therefore, while keeping the tap open, and even using an adequate pressure electric pump, the presscontrol (set to 1.5Bar) does not have sufficient sensitivity to read the pressure variation and turnON the pump.
The most used presscontrols:
Kromic presscontrol: pre-tared at 1,5Bar - 1" - max pump: 1,5Hp
