Why should you add the expansion vassel to the frequency inverter drive system?

The basic plant does not require the use of a compensation tank/vassel. But if you want to maximize the energy consumption and the duration of the electric pump, it's necessary to add a tank. In fact, by using a water tank, the continuous and repeated starts of the electric pump (due to small withdrawals and/or water leaks in the water system) are avoided; Decreasing the start/stop of the electric pump:

1) Decreases energy consumption;

2) Extends the life of the electric pump.

Sirio Entry XP.2 it is an electronic device for the single phase electric pumps control based on inverter technology. To be used with domestic electric pumps, the XP.2 version is characterized by the ease of use of installation and management. It controls the starting and stopping of the electric pump and modulates the motor rotations according to the water request from the system.

Sirio Entry thecnical characteristics

Hydraulic connection

Sirio can be installed on the pump outlet and works both horizontally and vertically. The incoming water must be free of impurities and/or solids that could block the non-return valve inside the inverter. In cases of excessive dirt in the water it is preferable to install a filter before the inverter.

The power supply of the variable frequency inverter is single-phase 230Vac 50/60Hz. The electrical system to which the inverter will be connected must comply with the regulations in force for this purpose. The connection must be made in a stable manner so as not to disconnect the power cables electric and motor; The power supply cables and the motor cables must be placed inside the connection box. To avoid sudden and/or continuous starting of the electric pump it is advisable to install an expansion vessel of one/two liters; at 10: 20% of the maximum pump capacity. It is not recommended to install a check valve between the inverter and the water mains.

In case of operation with submersible pump, it is recommended to install the check valve at least 3 meters away from the inverter.
