Sometimes electric cables can cause disturbances to other equipment present in their electric field. On the other hand, external electromagnetic fields could intersect with the electromagnetic fields induced by the equipment in use. This condition is overcome thanks to the use of appropriate shielded cables. A shielded electrical cable is made of one or more insulated wires that are collectively enclosed by an aluminum foil or woven braid shielding.
