Boosting system with electric pump and automatic pump controller (presscontrol)
The pressure regulator is an electronic pressure switch and protection device. It turns off in the case of no water to protect the pump from dry running. Also know as pressure controller, it replaces the traditional tank system. This pressure device starts and stops the pump in accordance with the opening and closing of the taps.

Tank suction (positive suction lift)
A practical example of an autoclave home pump that draws water from a collecting tank. In the suction tube there are the ball valve and the non-return valve. In the delivery pipe is mounted the presscontrol device. It is mandatory to add the automatic tank filling system and the by-pass system to feed both the water supplied by the pump and the mains water on the same pipe.

Equal to the number two scheme, with the addition of a vassel tank that avoids continuous starts of the electric pump.

Tank suction (negative suction filf)

Each electric pump can suck the water from the tank through gravitational fall (positive hammer), or from a well (or tank) through a tube (negative hammer).
The system in the following image represents the pump that sucks from a negative hammer.
It is composed by: a pressure regulator, that manages the pump re-starts; a bottom valve placed in the suction pipe, that keeps the pipeline always full of water; a suction pipe of the desired length (max 7 meters vertically); a 3-piece fitting that allows an easy disassembly of the suction pipe, a 3-piece fitting that allows easy disassembly of the presscontrol.
The system also provides the non-return valve, and a Tee fitting to insert both the pump delivery pipe and the water supply pipe.
It may happen that after long periods of inactivity of the pump unit, it occurs that the suction pipe is emptied.
The use of a self-priming pump would lead to fewer problems as it guarantees the drafting of water even in the presence of air bubbles or with an empty suction pipe. We also have automatic self-priming pumps ready for use.
